The Leap of Faith

This episode is super special for me because I’m introducing you to my incredible friend Susie Jackson. Susie and I go way back, as far as our university days when we lived together in Nottingham, England. We always used to talk about running our own businesses, and we’ve both managed to achieve just that. Susie is a freelance translator and copy editor, but she also works as a mentor for other freelancers, giving them the confidence to charge their worth.

During our conversation, Susie shares her own leaps of faith, which brought her to where she is today. She then goes on to explore the entrepreneur journey and explains why feelings of worthiness play such a crucial role in getting paid an amount that reflects your true value.

In this episode, we dive into the topic of money and finance. We discuss why your finances and mental health are inextricably linked as well as the feeling of empowerment you get from taking control of your financial situation. We talk about things mainly from an entrepreneurial perspective, but there are so many incredible tools you’ll be able to take from our conversation if you don’t run a business and want to get your personal finances in order too.

Finances are a main cause of anxiety, and they’re hugely influential in leading a life that actually feels good. But besides finances, Susie also talks about finding joy in her work, finally relinquishing control, and her favorite self-care practices. For me, Susie is such an inspiration; I love how rooted she is in her purpose. I’m sure she’ll inspire you as well, whether it’s for her financial insight or simply her refreshing outlook on life.
